Gabi, a social worker at a foster home in Bucharest, is organizing the Christmas party for the children. She receives the visit of a Gypsy woman, the mother of two brothers placed in the foster home, who wishes to take them home for the Holidays. Suspecting that the mother wants to take her children only to send them begging on the streets, Gabi has to decide whether to leave them with their mother or keep them away from her.
