A young girl's life is suddenly torn apart when her father (Staab) is taken from her. Forced to leave her childhood home, Abigail (Duffy) and her mother Marla (Cordell) leave the big city to live with Abigail's jovial grandfather (Dowell) at his sprawling ranch in the Kansas countryside. Through a series of divine circumstances Abigail discovers she has a special gift.
